Job purpose
The Provider Network Officer grows and maintains the provider panel: who is on it, on what terms, and how well they are performing.
Key responsibilities
Onboarding and accreditation
- Onboard and accredit new facilities, verifying licensing and capability.
- Configure panel membership by scheme and benefit.
- Set up provider portal access and train facility staff on verification and claim submission.
Contracts and tariffs
- Maintain contracts, tariff schedules, and renewal dates.
- Support tariff negotiations with usage and performance data.
- Ensure contracted terms match what is configured in the platform.
Performance and reconciliation
- Track provider performance and quality metrics against agreed standards.
- Support payment reconciliation and remittance queries.
- Maintain compliance tracking across the network.
Key performance indicators
- Provider onboarding turnaround time
- Contract and tariff data accuracy
- Provider query resolution within SLA
- Network coverage against target regions
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Systems Management, Public Health, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in provider relations, network management, or hospital administration.
- Understanding of tariffs, contracting, and reconciliation in a medical scheme context.
- Willingness to travel to facilities across Kenya.
- Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
